Trekking

You don't need much equipment to go hiking! Good boots, a small rucksack with the essentials and off you go! Did you know that South Tyrol has the best sign-posted network of hiking trails in Europe?

Highlights such as the blossoming of the Alpine roses at the end of June, summiteering to more than 3,000 m above sea level, walking barefoot on colourfully flowering Alpine meadows, splashing about in the nearby bathing lakes and the grand finale - an explosion of colours in autumn.

And everywhere there are Alpine chalets conjuring up the most sumptuous delicacies for you, often on the tiniest of wood-burning stoves.
